It's time...
...to get started.

We invite you to join us as we embark on an exciting journey to build a new home for our church community. This is more than just a building—it’s a place where lives will be transformed, faith will
grow, and future generations will gather in worship. We ask you
to prayerfully consider making a two-year pledge to support
this vision. Together, through faith, prayer and generosity, we
can create a lasting legacy for our church family.

The Four Pillars of Our New Home

Attendance
Our current average attendance is 90. This needs to grow to 161.  (see below for more info)
Giving
Our average weekly giving is $5,450. This needs to grow to $8,750/week.  (see below for more info)
Building Fund - Phase 1
Our Building Fund has a balance of $153,000. This needs to grow to $500,000.   (see below for more info)
A Building Plan (Construction Steps)
We have a building committee committed to the prospect of finding or building a permanent facility. We likely need to build our future home for an estimated total $2,000,000.   (see below for more info on Phase 1)

• PRAYER!!!
The foundation for all of this is based on prayer and God's Word.

....TO PRAY

All of our plans and decisions are filtered through the Bible. God is sovereign over ALL things, and this includes our plans for our future home. We put everything in God's hands and trust Him fully. On our journey we can experience miralcles, setbacks, etc, and through it all we will keep our faith in God and know He IS SOVEREIGN!!
Prayer is of utmost importance. Before scrolling down, please watch the video above for a brief message from Pastor Danny on the importance of prayer.

....TO GROW

1st Pillar:

Attendance

Your first question might be why are we talking about attendance (numbers)? True we don't talk about attendance much, actually hardly at all. However, that is one of our main goals at Harmony Community Church.  It's actually in our Mission Statement: "To Know Him, and To Make Him Known."  To make Him known is done several ways, but one of them is inviting people to church. We all have our own gifts from God.  Although you may or may not also have the gift of evangelism, you still make friends easily and you just love people. We need your help inviting people to church. Spreading the Gospel and inviting others to church is for all of us. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" is a commandment for all Christians. Unfortunately, with too many churches nowadays, their goal is to fill the seats for either pride reasons, money reasons, or both. Our number one goal for growth is as previously stated "To Know Him, and To Make Him Known".
This brings us to why our we talking about attendance in the arena of a Building Program. On a topic like this, we have to look at numbers in facts and averages, and this includes attendance and average weekly income. Right now we average 90 congregants per week, and we average $5,450 in giving per week. In the next section, you will see that we need to average $8,750 per week to be able to afford a mortgage. Simple math tells us with the average giving per congregant we will need 161 congregants to reach our giving goal.
Once again, we want to reiterate our goal is "TO KNOW HIM, AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN". This will always be our goal. However, in this conversation, we needed to break this down.  Please pray and ask for the Holy Spirit guidance throughout the day as this will keep you more aware of situations when they arise.

....TO GIVE

2nd Pillar:

Giving

Giving is another topic we do not talk much about at Harmony Community Church. Giving is very important. It's not just important to give to fund the church and the Lord's work, but it is a form of worship and a way for us to have the desire to "Know Him More". God doesn't need our money, nor does he need us. God allows us to be used for him. Obviously there our some people who have the ability to give more than others, but God doesn't look at the amount that is given. God looks at the heart in the act of giving. We are reminded of this in Luke 21:1-4  which says "Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, 2 and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. 3 And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. 4 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” (ESV).  And also in Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (ESV)  True giving reveals the heart. This is why it is a form of worship.
There are over 100 verses in the Bible about giving, and money is mentioned over 800 times! God knows how important we make money in our lives. In this world money decides  what you can buy, and because of this, we far too often give it too much power in our own lives. After all, it can decide what neighborhood you live in, what house you buy, what car, food, clothes, vacations, education etc. you buy. With all that, it often even dictates the friends you have. Now we as Christians do live in this world; therefore, money is a big part of our lives. But we need to have a biblical view on money.
We know God can do miracles and can miracoulsly provide all our needs instantaneously. If this is the case, then why doesn't He always do this? When God does miracles for us, we should always be thankful and give Him ALL the glory. When He doesn't miraculously provide instantaneously we should even be more thankful!! God is allowing us to be used! What bigger miracle is there than the Almighty, Holy God using sinners like us!! What can be more valuable than that?!  Please pray on what God wants you to give.

....TO PLEDGE

Building Fund - Phase 1

Our Phase 1 is finding land for our future home.  We want to keep our future church home in Harmony. Being that we are going to stay in Harmony, that takes away the option of finding a current structure. Harmony is a growing community, but the growth has been in new homes and not business.  Therefore, our first Phase is finding land. As you drive down 192, you do see a lot of land, and even for sale signs on land. However, there are 2 problems with the land in the area. It is either buildable (which is expensive) or the land has to go through "wetland conversion" (which is also expensive). Our building committee has been and continues reaching out to land owners.  For the land we need, we have come to the conclusion it will take $1,000,000 dollars to acquire the land we need for our future home.
Our Phase 1 goal is $500,0000. This will put us in positon to be able to make offers and if need be acquire financing for the property.  How exciting it will be to have a property with a sign that reads "Coming Soon The Future Home of Harmony Community Church"!!  Please pray on what you feel you can pledge over the next 2 years.  Click below to make your pledge.
  • Current Balance: $156,220

....TO BUILD

4th Pillar:

Construction (In Steps)

These are the basic steps of construction:
▪ Find a property we can build on.
▪ Clearing land and possible wetland conversion.
▪ Develop a site plan.
▪ Complete architectural plans.
 ▪ Complete permitting.
▪ Build the structure.
▪ Reach a certificate of occupancy.
 ▪ Install furniture & appliances.
Please pray for our Pastor, Elders, Building Committee, and our Church Family as we go through this process.

A letter to our church family

Dear Harmony Community Church Family,

We are excited to share with you a vision that has been stirring in our hearts and minds for some time now—a vision that we believe will propel our church into a new season of growth, outreach, and deepened community. As we continue to faithfully follow God’s call on our lives and our church, we recognize a profound opportunity: the pursuit of a physical building to call our own.

Why a Physical Building?

We believe a physical building will bring new and exciting opportunities to worship God, spread the Gospel, care for our community, and nurture our church family. Here are some of the key reasons why pursuing this goal is both a practical and spiritual step forward for us:

1. Worship
We meet each Sunday morning for church with the sole purpose of worshiping our perfect, loving, and all-powerful God.  Owning our own facility not only allows us to create a space that is physically beautiful and worshipful to God, but it allows us to worship in ways we may not be able to today.

2. Community Outreach & Growth
A physical building offers the flexibility and capacity to expand our ministries and programs. From hosting community events like our Annual Fall Festival and Vacation Bible School to educational classes like Harmony Academy, our own space will allow us to serve more effectively and reach more people with the love of Christ. Though the Harmony Community School’s administration is extremely accommodating and supportive of HCC, we long for the ability to control our own schedule and facilities for these events.

3. Nurture our Body
Owning our own building will eliminate the need for volunteers to set up and tear down equipment every Sunday. This change will significantly reduce the physical and logistical burden on many members who currently manage these tasks, allowing them to focus more on ministry and less on the logistics of setting up for each service.

How are we pursuing a physical building?

Earlier this year, the Elder Board of Harmony Community Church created a Building Committee and appointed Steve Mullins as Chairperson for the committee.  The committee is responsible for exploring avenues of obtaining a new church building or land.  Our job is to push on doors to see if God opens them.  As we move forward with this vision, we will engage in a thorough exploration of potential properties, carefully considering our needs, budget, and long-term goals.  We will regularly update the congregation on our search.

How can I support this goal?

While we believe a physical building will bring new and exciting opportunities to spread the Gospel, care for our community, and nurture our church family, we aren’t waiting around for a building to take important steps forward in these areas.  Scripture is clear that the church isn’t a physical building - it’s the body of believers built on Christ as the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:19-22).

We invite you to join us in this journey—through prayer, participation, and financial support. Your involvement and contributions will be vital as we embark on this exciting chapter. Below are a few ways you can support our vision:
Pray - for God to open a door to a physical building we can purchase
Connect - with the church body through a small group, bible study, or sunday school
Volunteer - with set-up/tear-down, Student Ministry, or the Worship Ministry
Give - financially if you feel led

In Christ,

Building Committee
